Skip the weeks-long provisioning cycle. Instant DIA delivers symmetrical, uncontended dedicated internet access on DCConnect’s on-net infrastructure — ordered online, activated same-day at supported sites, backed by a real SLA from minute one.
Traditional dedicated internet means a sales cycle, a site survey, a build ticket, and a multi-week wait. Instant DIA flips that: for sites already lit on the DCConnect on-net footprint, you select a bandwidth tier online and we activate the circuit same-day — no new fiber build, no waiting on a provisioning queue.
It’s still real DIA — dedicated, symmetrical, uncontended — not a best-effort broadband product. You get the SLA, the static IP block, and the support tier of an enterprise circuit, just without the lead time.
What you get
Every Instant DIA circuit includes these four capabilities — no add-ons, no hidden upgrade tiers.
Same-Day Activation
For buildings already on the DCConnect on-net footprint, your circuit is provisioned and activated within 24 hours of a confirmed order — no site survey, no build ticket.
Symmetrical & Uncontended
Equal upload and download speeds on a circuit that’s yours alone — not shared bandwidth split across a building’s tenants during peak hours.
Static IP & Dual-Stack
Comes with a routed static IPv4 block and native IPv6 at no extra charge — ready for servers, VPN endpoints, and inbound services from day one.
Elastic Bandwidth
Need more headroom next quarter? Upgrade your tier remotely from the customer portal — no re-cabling and no new physical install required.
How it works
The whole point of Instant DIA is removing the wait — here’s what actually happens after you click order.
Check building eligibility
Enter your address. We instantly confirm whether your building is already on the DCConnect on-net footprint and which bandwidth tiers are available there.
Choose a tier & order online
Pick your bandwidth — 10 Mbps to 10 Gbps — and complete your order through the self-service portal. No sales call required, though our team is available if you want one.
NOC provisions remotely
Our NOC configures your port and routing remotely over existing on-net infrastructure. No technician dispatch, no new fiber pull, for eligible sites.
Circuit goes live
You receive activation confirmation, your static IP allocation, and portal access — typically within 24 hours of order confirmation.
Same product category, very different timeline. Here’s what the order-to-activation journey looks like side by side.
Technical specifications
Everything in the spec sheet — interface types, protection modes, monitoring standards, and SLA parameters.
Interface
Physical Handoff
Ethernet UNI (User Network Interface) at each endpoint. Single-mode fibre with LC connectors as standard. RJ-45 copper available for sub-1GbE orders.
Bandwidth
Committed Rate
Bandwidth is reserved end-to-end and never shared. Available in standard increments from 2 Mbps up to 100 Gbps. No burst billing — your committed rate is always yours.
Layer
Layer-2 Ethernet
Transparent Ethernet transport. Single-tag 802.1Q or double-tagged QinQ (802.1ad). Protocol-agnostic — carry IP, MPLS, or any Ethernet frame over the circuit.
Protection
1+1 APS Switching
Diverse routing with automatic protection switching (APS). Primary and protection paths over geographically separated infrastructure. Sub-50ms failover with no manual intervention.
SLA
99.99% Availability
End-to-end availability SLA covering both A-end and Z-end. Packet loss ≤ 0.01%, latency within agreed bounds. Service credits applied automatically for any SLA breach.
Monitoring
OAM & Y.1731
Ethernet OAM for continuous end-to-end performance monitoring — frame loss ratio, delay, and jitter measurements. Alarms and performance data available in real-time via the NaaS portal.
Who uses this
When you can’t afford to wait weeks for a connection — but still need a real dedicated circuit, not best-effort broadband.
New Office Openings
Lease signed, move-in date locked, and the last thing you want is staff sitting around without internet. For on-net buildings, Instant DIA gets connectivity live before the desks are even unpacked.
Pop-Up & Event Connectivity
Trade shows, temporary retail, and short-term project sites need real bandwidth without a multi-year contract. Month-to-month terms and fast activation make Instant DIA a fit where standard DIA’s lead time and lock-in don’t work.
Backup & Failover Links
Add a fast-to-deploy secondary circuit alongside your primary connection for automatic failover, without the lead time normally associated with provisioning a second dedicated line.
Growing SMEs & Startups
Teams scaling fast can’t plan a connectivity order three weeks ahead. Self-service ordering and elastic bandwidth tiers let growing companies add capacity at the pace the business actually moves.
Frequently asked
Still have questions? Reach out our team can confirm eligibility for your specific building in minutes.
How does Instant DIA activate so much faster?
Speed comes from using existing on-net infrastructure. If your building already has a live DCConnect connection or is within an already-lit facility, activation is a remote configuration task, not a physical install — that’s what collapses weeks into hours.
What if my building isn’t on-net?
You can still order Instant DIA, but it will follow standard DIA provisioning timelines since a physical build is required. We’ll tell you upfront during the eligibility check which path applies to your address.
Is this really a dedicated circuit, or shared/business broadband?
It’s a genuine dedicated internet access circuit — symmetrical, uncontended, with a real SLA. The “instant” part refers to provisioning speed, not a reduction in service quality compared to traditional DIA.
Can I upgrade my bandwidth tier later?
Yes. Upgrades on eligible circuits are handled remotely through the customer portal, typically without a new physical installation. Downgrades are also supported, subject to your contract term.
What’s included in the SLA?
99.95% network availability, with defined packet loss and latency thresholds. Service credits are applied automatically to your invoice for any qualifying breach — no claim forms required.
Is there a minimum contract term?
No. Month-to-month is available on all tiers. Discounted rates apply for 12- and 24-month commitments if you want to lock in pricing for a longer-term deployment.
