Network engineer

Design, deploy, and support IP/MPLS, Ethernet, and optical transport networks, ensuring high availability and performance.
Perform configuration, provisioning, and testing of network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and DWDM systems.
Monitor network health and performance using monitoring tools, and respond to incidents, outages, and service degradations.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues across Layer 1–3, collaborating with vendors and internal teams as needed.
Maintain accurate documentation for network diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
Support capacity planning, software upgrades, and integration of new network infrastructure.
Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices across all network environments.
Participate in on-call rotation and provide Tier 2/3 support for critical network issues.

Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Network Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
3–5 years of hands-on experience in network engineering within telecom, ISP, or data center environments.
Strong knowledge of Layer 2/3 networking protocols, including BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, and QoS.
Experience with Cisco, Juniper, Huawei, or similar network platforms; certifications like CCNP, JNCIS, or equivalent are a plus.
Familiarity with optical transmission systems (e.g., DWDM, OTN) and Layer 1 transport technologies.
Proficient with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., Zabbix, SolarWinds, NetBox, Wireshark).
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a global network operations team.
Mandarin language proficiency is an advantage for coordination with China-based teams and vendors.
